1Password launches a way for AI agents to log in on your behalf without seeing your password
Users approve each login request, then 1Password fills in the credentials for the agent.
The tool, called 1Password for Agents, checks an agent’s digital identity using a unique digital key. It then alerts the user, who can approve the login before the password manager signs the agent in. The agent can complete its task without receiving the credentials. Supported options include agents from Anthropic, OpenAI, Grok, Meta, and Town; 1Password says it is working to expand support.
