Meta now lets AI agents handle the boring parts of WhatsApp Business setup

Meta is giving AI coding agents direct access to the WhatsApp Business setup chores that used to span several Meta tools.

A new WhatsApp Business Tools MCP connects agents like Claude, Cursor, Codex, or ChatGPT to the WhatsApp Business Platform. The agent can create a business account, add and verify a phone number, register Cloud API access, check Terms of Service status, and handle templates.
