Supporting ambitious external research through the Anthropic Economic Futures Research Fund
Anthropic is putting $200 million behind outside research on how to cushion AI’s economic shock.
The fund is aimed at large pilots, RCTs, and program evaluations, mostly in the `$5 million` to `$30 million` range. Its priorities include workplace AI design, retraining, income support, worker stakes in AI gains, and public investment. Anthropic says it will not directly fund proposals under `$1 million`, and will take applications from institutions and qualified nonprofits rather than individuals. Anthropic's note
