MacPaw taps Liquid AI to offer on-device inference to devs building for its app store
MacPaw is building Liquid AI’s local inference stack into Eney first, then plans to open it to SetApp developers.
The on-device system, called Elix, is meant to run AI features locally with a local memory layer. MacPaw says that should let assistants and agentic workflows work offline, while Liquid AI is pitching hardware-tailored models with privacy and security benefits. SetApp is also being prepared for more AI apps, including credit-based plans tied to the number and complexity of AI operations.
