Anthropic officially files for its public debut
Anthropic reported $16.3 billion in first-half revenue, but its founders will retain majority voting control after the IPO.
Revenue rose from $1.2 billion a year earlier, while operating losses narrowed to $693 million from $2.1 billion. Its $80.7 billion net loss largely reflected noncash accounting adjustments tied to convertible debt. The seven co-founders will collectively control 50.1% of shareholder voting power, and the Long-Term Benefit Trust will appoint most board members, leaving public shareholders little practical control. Anthropic plans to trade as “ANT” but has not disclosed a proposed share price or fundraising target.
