Amazon makes its AI-powered Alexa+ free on all compatible Fire TV devices in the US, automatically upgrading users even if they don't subscribe to Prime (Sarah Perez/TechCrunch)
Alexa+ is being pushed onto compatible Fire TV hardware as a no-cost upgrade in the U.S.
Amazon said Alexa+ is now included on compatible Fire TV devices without requiring Prime. TechCrunch frames the rollout as automatic for users, not an opt-in subscription add-on. The move brings Amazon’s AI assistant into the TV interface for people who may not have been paying for Alexa+ separately. Techmeme’s note
