Claude Cowork finally remembers what you told the app in chat

Claude’s chat memory and Cowork memory are now being treated as one system.

Anthropic says the change lets Claude carry context from ordinary chats into Cowork tasks, so users do not have to re-enter project details when moving from planning to action. The retained memory will be visible to users, who can read, edit, or delete it by topic. Claude will now add memory topics during a chat rather than waiting until the conversation ends.
