Mental World Modeling
The paper argues that world models need to track what agents believe, want, intend, feel, and see as socially permissible.
Fei and Zhao define Mental World Modeling as a coupled physical-and-mental state, not a posthoc explanation layer. Their baseline, MENTIS, breaks scenarios into parsed states, target-specific observations, action branches, physical and mental transitions, and value evaluation.
