Meta says it worked with Apple to make Muse Spark Open run locally on M5 Ultra Mac Studios, letting users pair two to four Studios to code or do agentic work (CNBC)
Running the model locally takes a cluster of high-end Macs: two to four M5 Ultra Studios.
Meta says it worked with Apple to optimize Muse Spark Open for coding and agentic tasks on that hardware. The collaboration involved Apple’s MLX framework and RDMA connections between machines. Apple researcher Ronan Collobert reported output above 36 tokens per second on four Mac Studios.
