Anthropic updates Claude voice mode with more capable models
Claude voice mode can now use Anthropic’s stronger models and connected workplace apps.
Users can choose Opus, Sonnet, or Haiku, with voice mode defaulting to the fastest version of the last model used in text chat. Anthropic says the update is meant for longer, more complex spoken sessions, from pitch practice to product research. Voice mode can also act through Gmail, Calendar, Slack, Canva, and Notion, though free users are limited to Haiku and one connected app. Anthropic did not change the underlying voice model, so conversational handling may not improve.
