Pluto Security raises $42M as AI gives enterprise security teams a new headache

· TechCrunch AI ·
Pluto says enterprise AI risk is now coming from employees building and using tools outside traditional developer channels.

The company has raised $42 million, including a $34 million Series A led by Jump Capital. CEO Shahar Bahat told TechCrunch that about 60% of the risks Pluto detects are in vibe-coded tools made by non-developers, with finance teams the biggest source. Pluto says its software monitors AI tools, agents, extensions, MCP servers and related components, and can intervene when an agent tries to take risky actions. The startup says it has more than 30 enterprise customers and has crossed $2 million in annual recurring revenue. TechCrunch AI's note
