Claude merges Cowork and chat into one experience
Claude will now decide inside a normal chat when to turn a request into longer-running work.
The merged experience lets users move from a quick question to a delegated task in the same thread, with Claude continuing even after a laptop is closed. It is rolling out to Pro and Max subscribers on web, desktop, and mobile, with Team and Free plans later. Anthropic is also putting Docs, Slides, and Design into the conversation flow for paid users, while Enterprise admins control enablement.
