OC-GS: Gaussian Splatting for Irregular Turntable Capture
OC-GS corrects uncertain turntable angles instead of assuming the object rotated evenly.
The paper says uneven rotation and dropped frames break equal-angle reconstruction assumptions. Its method keeps a shared camera, rotation axis, and pivot while refining each image’s angle. In sparse rendered tests with 12, 8, and 6 irregular views, it beat four pose-free Gaussian splatting baselines on mean foreground PSNR. The authors also report smaller gains on real captures, with refinement raising mean foreground PSNR by 0.70dB. ArXiv · AI/CL/LG's note
