Wispr raises $280M at $2B valuation as it looks beyond dictation
Wispr’s new round is funding a push from AI dictation into meetings and broader voice interfaces.
The Series B was led by Menlo Ventures and values the company at $2 billion, bringing total funding to $361 million. Wispr also announced Canto, a new speech-understanding model it says will cut error rates from 30% to under 10% after users complained about lower dictation quality. The company has expanded to Android, grown teams in India and the U.K., and is working with hardware partners like Oasis ring. Its new meeting notetaker puts it closer to rivals such as Granola, Fireflies, and Read AI. TechCrunch AI's note
