Scimplify raises $25M to challenge China’s grip on critical materials with AI
Scimplify says it can turn customer material requirements into finished specialty chemicals in as little as two months.
The Bengaluru startup raised a $25 million strategic round led by Hitachi Ventures, valuing it at about $250 million, according to TechCrunch’s source. Its Scinode platform uses AI agents to map production routes, factory fit, quality, and regulatory requirements, while its scientists oversee work across more than 500 partner facilities. Scimplify says U.S. revenue has grown sharply, and it plans to spend about $7.5 million expanding production there. It is also working on tungsten derivatives from scrap and rare earth materials as alternatives to supply chains concentrated in China. TechCrunch AI's note
