Google launches Gemini 3.8 Live with Live Avatar
Google’s live enterprise agent can now stay onscreen as an animated avatar while it talks, sees, listens, and calls tools.
Live Avatar is generally available in Gemini Enterprise as an extension of Gemini 3.8 Live. The piece says it supports low-latency video, speech-to-speech conversation, simultaneous audio and visual input, and background data retrieval during a live exchange. Google showed use cases including hotel check-in, guided walkthroughs, multilingual switching, and preset or allowlisted custom branded avatars.
