Introducing Claude Opus 5
Anthropic says Opus 5 is its new everyday high-end model, near Fable 5 on coding at about half the cost.
It is available now across Claude platforms, replacing the default on Claude Max and becoming the strongest model on Claude Pro. Anthropic says it leads on several coding, automation, computer-use, and knowledge-work benchmarks, while still trailing Mythos 5 on offensive cybersecurity and some bio-risk evaluations.
