Ghost, which makes a $3,499 computer designed for AI agents and includes an RTX Pro 4000 SFF Blackwell GPU, emerges from stealth with an $11M seed led by a16z (Dominic-Madori Davis/TechCrunch)

Ghost is pitching local, owner-controlled AI as a consumer machine, not a cloud account.

The startup came out of stealth with an $11 million seed round led by a16z. Its first product, Core, is a $3,499 personal AI computer with an RTX Pro 4000 SFF Blackwell GPU, 64GB of DDR5 RAM, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. Founder Zain Javaid frames the bet around agents that understand more of a user’s life while running on infrastructure the user owns. Techmeme's note
