From Knowledge Access to Source Learning: Developing Source-Specific Competence
SourceLearn turns repeated use of the same authority into a learned model of how that source works.
The paper defines “source learning” as building reusable, source-specific competence for LLM agents working with persistent external sources. Its proposed system, SourceLearn, updates a persistent source model through self-directed revisits and task-guided corrections, while grounding updates back in the authoritative source. Across five benchmarks and three LLM backends, it reports the best result in 13 of 15 settings, including gains of up to 22.6 points over Hybrid RAG. HF Daily Papers' note
