Mistral models now power Firefox Smart Window
Firefox’s beta AI assistant is now using Mistral models, starting in France and North America.
Smart Window is meant to help with complex searches, lost browsing context, and finding material across open tabs. Mozilla and Mistral say the assistant will be tuned for regional language, dialect, and cultural context, with the UK and Germany expected later this year. The story says conversations are not saved on Mozilla’s servers by default, and Mistral has agreed to zero data retention. TestingCatalog's note
