Microsoft releases new Nvidia-chip AI PCs with revamped Windows 11
Microsoft put prices and specs on its Nvidia-powered Surface AI machines, starting at $2,600 for the laptop and $6,000 for the dev box.
The Surface Laptop Ultra comes in two base models, with higher memory and storage pushing the top configuration to $5,900. The Surface RTX Spark Dev Box ships with Microsoft developer tools and is pitched for running AI models locally. Both use a revamped Windows 11 with “Execution Containers,” a sandboxing feature Satya Nadella said will be available to all Windows 11 users. Microsoft is also offering up to $1,000 off for MacBook Pro trade-ins, a clear signal that it is chasing developers. TechCrunch AI's note
