OpenAI launches Dots, its bubbly agentic avatar
OpenAI is packaging always-on GPT-6 Astra agents as customizable “Dots” that can keep working across apps with little oversight.
The company says users can name a primary dot now, with teams of Dots planned later. They will be available to Pro and Business Premium users in eligible markets through ChatGPT, and can be launched from Codex or ChatGPT. OpenAI describes uses like monitoring customer feedback, fixing bugs, rerunning scientific analysis, and investigating new results.
