Code2Games: Enabling Coding Agents for Gaming World Generation
Code2Games turns a single game intent into a structured Blender world, then adapts it into Unreal Engine 5 with feedback from compilation, runtime, and play tests.
The framework keeps scene elements and gameplay logic tied through a shared representation, aiming to avoid mismatches between assets, layout, objectives, and interactions. The authors also introduce GameCode4D, a ten-prompt benchmark for judging generated gaming worlds across visual quality, interaction fidelity, artifact quality, and playable-game quality. In their experiments, Code2Games outperformed direct coding-agent generation and baseline methods on both the generated worlds and the adapted games. HF Daily Papers' note
