More multimodal training environments are not automatically better for agents.
The paper argues that environment distribution design matters, especially diversity and difficulty structure. It proposes Ability-aware Environment Selection to build more diverse environment sets. It also proposes a Hierarchical Difficulty Curriculum with harness weakening and state-scale progression. The authors say experiments show both methods improve multimodal agent training.
