ICYMI: Cursor announced Projects for agent coordination
Cursor is testing a coordinator-led workflow that can keep software tasks running across cloud and local agents after a chat ends.
Projects lets developers describe work to a coordinator agent, which plans tasks and dispatches coding agents instead of writing code itself. Cursor says it is aimed at multi-PR features, migrations, full apps, and recurring maintenance such as CI fixes, Slack bug reports, and regression monitoring. The system runs on cloud computers, with local agents available when hardware testing is needed, and shared files sync project knowledge across both environments. Cursor says internal use has covered hundreds of PRs and claims Projects users merge more PRs than before.
