Generative World Simulation with DAO and JING
Actions change a shared world state that preserves their consequences beyond any one observer.
The XGEN Team’s framework pairs DAO, an engine tracking characters, objects, spaces and their relationships, with JING, which generates first-person audiovisual experiences. DAO advances the world through interaction rules and world time, supplying observer-specific conditions to JING. Users can explore, manipulate objects and communicate with characters through viewpoint controls and text instructions. Those actions update the shared state and shape subsequent experiences.
