Ego-OSCAR: Egocentric Open source Stereo CAptuRe System
A sub-$200 open egocentric capture rig is being released with its software stack and annotated stereo-IMU dataset.
Ego-OSCAR combines synchronized global-shutter stereo cameras, a 6-axis IMU, an embedded Linux board, and watchdog firmware in a head-mounted design. The authors say the bill of materials stays under USD 200 using commercial parts and 3D printing. They also release roughly 550 hours of egocentric stereo video per camera with synchronized IMU, action captions across the timeline, per-frame 3D hand reconstructions, and stereo calibration.
