Gritt exits stealth with $34 million for robots to build solar plants—then, everything else

· TechCrunch AI ·
Gritt says its solar-site robots can help an eight-person crew lift output from 800 panels a day to 3,000–4,000.

The startup exited stealth with a $26 million Series A led by Obvious Ventures, bringing total funding to $32 million. Its system uses rented skidders and off-the-shelf robotic arms controlled by Gritt’s AI, starting with unloading, carrying, and positioning solar panels for workers to fasten. Gritt says it is contracted for 2.8 gigawatts of installations over the next 18 months and wants 48 systems operating within six months. TechCrunch AI's note
