TikTok rolls out an AI shopping assistant and one-click checkout
TikTok is moving product discovery, questions, and payment into the For You feed.
Its new Shopping Assistant is a conversational AI agent that can remember preferences and answer product, shipping, sizing, and availability questions. A separate one-click checkout lets users buy directly from brands inside TikTok. TechCrunch says the pairing could keep more of the shopping journey, and more transaction value, on TikTok rather than sending users to outside tools or sites.
