Expanding the Cyber Verification Program
Anthropic is folding Project Glasswing into an expanded Cyber Verification Program with three cyber access tiers.
The new CVP gives verified security teams access to Claude’s most capable models with fewer cyber blocks, scaled by use case and risk. Defense Access covers defensive work; Red Team Access adds authorized penetration testing; Specialized Access is reserved for a small set of organizations testing high-impact safety systems. Anthropic says data retention is required for monitoring misuse, with an Enterprise Frontier Safeguards option planned later this fall for eligible organizations. In its own tier testing, Claude Opus 5.5 was heavily blocked in Defense Access but unblocked in Red Team Access, where it completed 34 of 50 CyScenarioBench tasks. Anthropic's note
