Google brings agentic AI to Gemini, starting with businesses
Gemini’s new business agent can act like a workplace account, with its own email, context, and audit trail.
Google says the agent can be assigned objectives, plan work, use tools, and connect to company systems such as Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Jira, BigQuery, Snowflake, and others. Users can track its work through a tasks inbox showing progress, subagents, skills, code, and reasoning steps. It will start with businesses before a consumer rollout, with Google citing security, scale, and performance as the harder problems to solve first. The agent will also support model selection, beginning with Anthropic’s Claude models alongside Google’s own routing. TechCrunch AI's note
