DistScene: Object-to-Scene Distillation for 3D Scene Generation
DistScene treats the environment as its own 3D component, so object placement is learned with scene geometry instead of after it.
The paper introduces Scene-Frame Generation to create environment and object components together in a shared coordinate frame. It then applies Object-Centric Refinement, using scene context while improving each object locally. Its distillation step transfers pretrained object-generation priors into full scene generation by composing and rendering synthetic scenes. The authors report better scene-level spatial coherence than evaluated baselines on indoor and outdoor benchmarks. HF Daily Papers' note
