Show HN: Pulse Local, a Mac budgeting app whose AI models run on your machine
Pulse Local keeps the ledger, questions, and AI answers on-device, with model files downloaded once to the Mac.
The app says first launch downloads about 2.9 GB of AI models, including a larger checker model that can be switched off. Its only routine network check is for app updates, also optional. Bank sync, if used, runs through Pulse and Plaid; transactions are passed back without being stored, while connection tokens and status records are kept. Local mode supports CSV import and any currency, while bank sync is US-only for now. HN · Show HN AI's note
