ReDesign: Recovering Editable Design Structures from Images via Agentic Decomposition
ReDesign turns a flat image back into an editable layer hierarchy, then tests whether real edits still work.
The paper frames raster-to-design recovery as more than visual reconstruction: typography, vectors, colors, grouping, and layer order all have to survive. Its agentic system selects specialized tools by modality and uses local verification to accept, prune, or retry steps before errors compound. The authors also introduce a Figma Edit Replay Benchmark with 909 raw Figma files and 14,796 controlled edit instructions.
