Wabi, the AI agent that builds mini apps, now valued at $1.25B after latest round

· TechCrunch AI ·
Wabi raised $55 million after shifting from prompt-built apps to a messenger that creates interfaces for everyday tasks.

Founded by Replika founder Eugenia Kuyda, Wabi now describes itself as a personal AI agent. Its Wabi 2.0 pivot, announced last month, centers on building mini apps within that messenger experience. Suggested uses include meal planning, restaurant tracking, fitness plans and specialized trivia games. IVP led the round, with participation from a16z, Forerunner, Amazon Alexa Fund and angel investors.
