Healthleap raises $38M for its AI that flags hospital patients who may need a closer look
Healthleap says its software is already screening adult inpatients across more than 50 hospitals.
The startup raised $38 million across seed and Series A rounds to expand its AI platform for flagging patients who may need additional clinical review. Its system reads both structured hospital data and clinicians’ notes, then writes a risk score into existing care-team workflows. Healthleap says it does not diagnose patients, and is currently focused on conditions including malnutrition and delirium, with other programs still under clinical validation. The company says customers include Penn Medicine, Cedars-Sinai, Intermountain, Houston Methodist and Emory Healthcare. TechCrunch AI's note
