Google launches Gemini 3.6 Flash and Gemini 3.5 Flash Lite
The Flash update is aimed at faster, cheaper agent workloads, with a separate cyber model kept behind restricted access.
Gemini 3.6 Flash cuts token usage by 17% versus 3.5 Flash and is positioned for coding, knowledge work, multimodal parsing, and production reliability. Gemini 3.5 Flash-Lite is the speed and cost play, listed at 350 output tokens per second for high-volume workflows. Google is also preparing Gemini 3.5 Flash Cyber for vulnerability detection and patching, but only for governments and trusted partners through a limited CodeMender pilot. TestingCatalog's note
