DoorDash is putting food ordering inside Apple Messages, with an AI agent that can build the cart.
The agent can understand prompts like “order my usual,” ask for a dish, or request a local recommendation. DoorDash says it can suggest a cart, send food photos, and handle group orders with mixed dietary needs and quantities. The feature is opening first as a U.S. waitlist.
