Anthropic launches Opus 5
Opus 5 is positioned as the cheaper, less restricted Anthropic model that may beat Fable 5 for many users.
Anthropic says Opus 5 outperforms Fable 5 on some announced benchmarks and is stronger at checking and iterating on its work. It also avoids the 30-day data retention policy applied to Fable and Mythos.
