Microsoft says Quine helped rank cancer-state-shifting compounds, with several top candidates validated in wet-lab assays.
Quine is an experimental biology research system that combines a multimodal world model with tools, literature, lab workflows, and researcher input. In work with Broad Institute researchers on pancreatic cancer cell states, Microsoft says the system narrowed thousands of compounds to a small set over a weekend. The strongest ranked compounds produced the intended classical-to-basal shifts in assays, while other results pointed to a possible third phenotype.
