Sequoia doubles down on Cymphony as AI agents create new enterprise security risks

· TechCrunch AI ·
Cymphony raised $30 million to police AI agents and other nonhuman identities inside enterprise systems.

The round includes a $25 million Series A co-led by Sequoia and SMBC Fin Atlas Beyond Fund, valuing the startup at more than $100 million after investment. Cymphony says its “workforce graph” lets security teams see employees, agents, systems, data access, and activity in one place. The company told TechCrunch it found 85,000 files exposed to AI tools at one U.S. public company and helped close the issue. Sequoia said it reinvested after Cymphony signed a double-digit number of enterprise customers and reached seven figures in annual recurring revenue.
