Introducing ChatGPT Images 2.5
OpenAI says its new image model cuts generation latency by up to 50% while improving reference fidelity and edits.
Images 2.5 is rolling out across ChatGPT, ChatGPT Work, and Codex on desktop, mobile, and web. The update is meant to preserve subjects from reference photos better, keep prior edits stable across longer sessions, and follow more specific visual instructions. ChatGPT also gets Sketch, templates, image comments, and prompt sharing. Developers get two API models: GPT-Image-2.5 Flare for most uses and Sunburst for higher-precision work. OpenAI's note
