Your AI agents can now control your Google Home devices

· TechCrunch AI ·
Google is opening Google Home to MCP-capable agents, but only through a paid U.S. early access tier.

The rollout lets agents such as Claude, ChatGPT, and Google’s Antigravity work with Google Home devices, event history, camera summaries, activity monitoring, and custom dashboards. Users have to set up a Google Cloud project, configure Home MCP, pass those details to an agent, then sign in and grant permissions. Early access is starting for U.S. Google Home Premium Advanced subscribers, the $20-a-month tier. Google did not say when, or whether, it will expand beyond that group. TechCrunch AI's note
