Applied Computing raised $20 million to push Orbital, its plant-wide AI model, deeper into industrial energy operations.
Orbital combines sensor time series, physics-based modeling, and language-model components to predict facility conditions and run simulations. The company says it can flag anomalies, trace causes, and test fixes in minutes. KBR led the Series A and has integrated Orbital into its INSITE 3.0 platform.
