ChatGPT Health adds Epic integration for clinicians to import patient data
Clinicians can pull Epic chart data into ChatGPT Health, but the access is read-only.
OpenAI says the integration can surface appointment notes, lab results, medications, specialist documentation, patient history, and clinical timelines for clinicians. In some deployments, ChatGPT will be available inside Epic workflows for pre-visit review without leaving the patient chart. OpenAI is also adding a public healthcare data plugin drawing from sources including ClinicalTrials.gov, PubMed, RxNorm, DailyMed, and CMS Coverage.
