OmniEdu: Open Foundation Models for Learning and Teaching
OmniEdu is an open K-12 model family tuned around four education capabilities, not just problem solving.
The authors built a 69,999-example instruction corpus from more than 100 educational and general sources, organized for subject competence, curriculum grounding, diagnostic reasoning, and tutoring action. They fine-tuned 4B, 9B, and 27B models, then tested them on curriculum grounding, K-12 problem solving, tutoring, and general capability.
