ICYMI: TypeSafe AI launches Jev for structured AI decisions

· TestingCatalog ·
Jev is being pitched as a bounded decision model for software, with typed outputs instead of generated prose.

TypeSafe says developers define the choices and schema up front, and Jev returns probabilistic decisions with confidence scores. The company claims guaranteed schema matching and no type errors, while noting that “cannot hallucinate” only applies inside the constrained output space. Its published speed and cost comparisons are favorable but come with caveats: company-built workflows, no ground-truth labels, and baselines run through TypeSafe’s own structured wrapper. Early access is opening as TypeSafe tests whether fast, structured decision layers can replace LLM calls in routing, scoring, extraction, guardrails, and similar tasks. TestingCatalog's note
