Enabling Creative Exploration for Vibe Design Agents
The paper tests a way to vary design concepts without turning up randomness in the code generator.
The authors add a pre-pass that proposes structured design specs, assigns typicality scores, then samples one for a fixed-setting generator to implement. In tests across 168 prompts, theme sampling increased coverage of different selections and screenshot variation. Preference results were mixed by intervention, prompt complexity, and viewport. In a large online experiment, code-export gains were statistically uncertain, while negative feedback fell alongside more correction interactions and modest extra cost. HF Daily Papers' note
