Claude unifies memory across Chat and Cowork

Claude’s saved memory now carries between regular chats and Cowork tasks.

The rollout gives both surfaces the same stored context when a task begins. Memory is on by default for Free, Pro, and Max users, while Team and Enterprise access stays under admin control. Claude can add topics to memory during a conversation, and users can inspect, edit, pause, or reset stored topic files in settings. Sensitive categories remain excluded unless a user opts in, and some information still cannot be stored. TestingCatalog's note
