Roblox launches an AI-powered game creation feature in its mobile app
Roblox’s new Build tool turns text prompts into playable mobile-made games, then relies on retention to filter what surfaces.
The feature can generate mechanics, environments, characters, style, sound, and other basics from a prompt, with users able to modify and share the result. Public alpha starts July 28 in New Zealand for age-verified users nine and older; users 16 and up can publish globally. Roblox says discovery will still favor games people keep playing, pushing back on concerns about low-quality AI output flooding the platform.
